Prof. Soman is currently a faculty in the Department of Electrical Engineering in IIT Bombay, which he joined in 1996. He received both his M.E. & Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science Bangalore. He has written many papers, coauthored a book and holds 3 patents to his name. He is a Senior Member of IEEE. He also holds the position of Director at PowerAnser Labs.
